Toner cartridges and ink cartridges are two common printer accessories, their role and differences are as follows:
I. Toner Cartridge
Role: The toner cartridge is one of the very important parts of the laser printer, which consists of an aluminum base frame, photoconductor drum, charging rollers, magnetic rollers, waste powder bin and other components. When the printer works, the toner cartridge will rotate with the rotation of the machine, and at the same time, the laser will scan on the toner cartridge, so that the photoconductor drum on the surface of the toner cartridge charge offset, thus forming a charge latent image, and then spray toner on the charge latent image, using electrostatic will be adsorbed in the charge latent image of the toner, and finally the toner will be transferring to the paper.
Classification: Toner cartridges are mainly divided into two types, one-piece toner cartridges mean that the toner cartridge and photoconductor drum are installed in the same toner cartridge, while the separation of toner cartridges is that the toner cartridge and photoconductor drums are independent, and there is a gap between the toner cartridge and the photoconductor drum.
Replacement cycle: the service life of the toner cartridge is generally associated with the printer print volume, user operating habits, print quality and other factors, in general, if you find that the printed text is lighter in color or a larger blank area, this time you need to replace the toner cartridge.
Second, the ink cartridge
Role: the ink cartridge is a very important part of the inkjet printer, it is equipped with a certain amount of ink, ink through the nozzle will be sprayed out, the formation of ink droplets falling on the paper, so as to form a pattern or text. Ink cartridges are generally composed of ink tanks, sponges, filters, conductive sheets, nozzles and so on.
Classification: Ink cartridges are mainly divided into two kinds of split cartridges and one-piece cartridges, split cartridges refer to the ink tank and nozzle separately, while the one-piece cartridges are ink tanks and nozzles mounted together.
Replacement cycle: The service life of the ink cartridge is generally related to the print volume, print quality, storage environment and other factors. Generally speaking, if you find that the printed text is lighter in color or the blank area is larger, then you need to replace the ink cartridge. In addition, if the printer is not used for a long time, the ink may dry up or clog, and the cartridge also needs to be replaced in time.
Overall, although the toner cartridge and ink cartridge are both printer accessories, they are different because of their different principles of action, different cycles of use and different replacement cycles. In addition, when replacing toner cartridges or ink cartridges, you need to pay attention to the correct operating procedures as well as the use of precautions.
